Hi there. I’m Paul, a creative through and through. My background spans the stage as an actor, behind the camera as a photographer and producer, and behind the screen as a graphic designer and UX-minded web manager. I bring a storyteller’s intuition to visual design and a problem-solver’s mindset to every project I touch.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked solo and with teams, building everything from earned-media-rich websites to social media monthly content, to art directing award shows creative and online voting systems.
My time managing the Crutchfield Dermatology website taught me a lot about user experience, with over 4 terabytes of content, it was basically a digital city! It’s there I developed a deep respect for intuitive design, much like what Don Norman explores in The Design of Everyday Things. (I still smile whenever I “pull” a door that should’ve been “pushed.”) I’m also a fan of Street Fight by Janette Sadik-Khan, especially her thoughts on “habit trails” and how humans interact with physical space, ideas that bleed into how I approach layout and hierarchy.
Clients I’ve collaborated with include everyone from solo entrepreneurs to organizations such as: Unified Work, Minnesota Diversified Industries, Simon Delivers and FOX Searchlight Pictures. My design and PR work has helped projects land in outlets like Buzzfeed, FORTUNE, Travel & Leisure, Backstage, Reader’s Digest, and local favorites like KARE 11 and The Jason Show.
I’m big on collaboration but equally confident flying solo. Whether you need a one-off piece or someone to help shape the voice and visuals of your brand long-term, I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
